A private room should feel private.

When you create an account, the authentication service processes the email address and password credentials needed to sign in. The Travel Venn does not display your account email to other Trip Room participants.

When you create or join a Trip Room, we store the room details you enter, membership records, your travel-style selections, and the answers you submit to the room profile. Room owners can also create invitation links with an expiration date and limited number of uses.

If you join the early-access list, the email address you submit is sent through the platform notification service to record that signup.

Trip Rooms are account-gated and limited to current room members. The product is designed not to show respondent identity, raw profile answers, named completion status, participant-level budgets or preferences, or live response tallies to other participants.

When the product presents group direction, it uses anonymous aggregate patterns. The current experience withholds detailed group patterns until the built-in minimum threshold is reached.

Invite links are private access links. Anyone who receives a valid link may be able to join the associated room after signing in, so owners should share links only with intended participants and create a fresh link if a link is shared too broadly.

Purchases use platform-hosted checkout. The Travel Venn does not collect or store payment card details in this storefront. After checkout, the storefront may request limited order confirmation details, such as the product name, amount, currency, and masked customer email, so it can show a confirmation screen.

When analytics configuration is enabled, this storefront uses PostHog to measure basic product and page interactions. PostHog is configured to use browser local storage and cookies. The current code does not provide a separate cookie-preference banner, so please avoid enabling non-essential tracking until the owner has confirmed the appropriate consent approach for the markets served.

The repository does not define a formal retention schedule or self-service deletion workflow. To request access, correction, or deletion of account, room, or profile information, contact hello@thetravelvenn.com from the email associated with your account. We may need to confirm your request before acting on it.
